the lady and the trampmeet John Travolta and Peanut.
The 69-year-old actor and his son’s puppy, Peanut, recently shared a slice of cheese pizza – and the resulting photo looked eerily similar to the iconic spaghetti scene from the Disney film.
In the picture, which is Fat star posted on his Instagram Story on Friday, the little dog was standing on the table pulling at a piece of particularly stringy cheese as Travolta took a big bite.

The cozy footage is peaceful — especially compared to a video Travolta shared of him and a pooch in bed last year.
In September 2022, the actor posted a cute video of Peanut constantly poking and licking his face while trying to avoid drooling.
“This is how Ben’s dog Peanut wakes me up,” he captioned the snap.

Peanut is the name Travolta’s son gave the rescue dog, formerly known as Mac N Cheese.
Travolta adopted a dog for Ben after Jamie Lee Curtis brought her on stage during a segment dedicated to Betty White and her dedication to animal welfare at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022.
“They were dumped in a box outside the Avenal shelter,” Chad Atkins, co-founder and CEO of animal rescue organization Paw Works, told PEOPLE about Peanut, her mom and three siblings. (Avenal Animal Shelter is a rural shelter in Avenal, California that works with Paw Works.)

After Peanut and her family were dropped off at a California shelter, Paw Works brought the pets into their facility to help them find adopters.
As the 2022 Oscars approached, Peanut (then still called Mac N Cheese) was the only member of her family who had yet to find a forever home. She was the pup chosen for the big awards show, thanks to a little luck – and Curtis.
The animal production company originally intended to provide a trained dog for the Oscars segment, but the 64-year-old actress intervened.
“Jamie Lee Curtis was actually the one who said, ‘No, no, no, we can’t do that. Betty White is known for her compassion for four-legged friends and has always been a big advocate for animal rescue. to be a rescue animal,'” Atkins told PEOPLE.

After the Paw Works director sent in photos and information about several adoptable pooches in Paw Works’ care, Curtis picked Peanut out of the crowd and brought her on stage for the In Memoriam segment.
Atkins held the pup for the rest of the night, and while several people expressed interest in adopting her, it was Travolta who “got hooked” on little Peanut, kept her for 30 minutes, and continued to adopt her the next day.

In March 2022, Travolta officially announced the adoption on Instagram, sharing a photo of himself, Peanut, and the puppy’s new owner, his son Ben. “Ben adopted this dog from the last one [night’s] Tribute to Oscar Betty White,” the actor wrote with the photo. “Thank you @curtisleejamie & @pawworks.”
“So now it’s happily ever after for her,” Atkins told PEOPLE of the pup’s future in April 2022, and — at least according to Travolta’s Instagram posts — it’s been pizza, love and cuddles ever since.
