Johnny Depp took a closer look at the museum display dedicated to his frequent collaborator Tim Burton.
Depp (60) shared a photo of himself posing on tour The world of Tim Burton exhibition, currently at the National Cinema Museum at the Mole Antonelliana in Turin, Italy, writing on his Instagram Story, “Thanks for having me.”
The film museum shared photos from a recent visit on Instagram and wrote in the caption (roughly translated into English): “Now we can tell you: on the occasion of his short stay in Turin, yesterday we had the honor of hosting Johnny Depp for a private visit to the exhibition.”.. Depp immersed himself in the Burton imagination and was excited to see among the treasures on display a letter in which Tim Burton suggested some changes to his jokes in the film. Charlie and the Chocolate Factoryso much so that I want to take a picture and send it to the director, the follower of thousands of unforgettable stories.”

In addition to 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Depp has worked with director Burton, 65, on several films over the years, starting in the 1990s Edward Scissorhands. Some others include Alice in Wonderland, Dark Shadows, Dead Bride and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

When Burton received the Lumière Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Lumière Film Festival, he spoke about his collaboration with Depp, according to Diversity“I connected with him when I met him Edward Scissorhands. He was like me, some white trash from the suburbs. It wasn’t even a verbal understanding.”
“It was something I could feel,” Burton continued at the time. “He liked the characters. He was interested in acting as an art, not a business. It was exciting to see someone play different things, the idea of this transformation from film to film always excited me.”
