Home and Away star Johnny Ruffo died at the age of just 35.
The actor and singer died in a Sydney hospital after a long battle with brain cancer, his agent confirmed.

He “left peacefully” today surrounded by his partner Tahnee and other family members.
Ruffo first appeared as Chris Harrington in the popular Australian soap opera Home And Away in 2013, two years after appearing in the final of X Factor Australia.
A statement shared on the star’s Instagram account – believed to be from his family – read: “It is with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to our beloved Johnny today.
“Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny passed peacefully with the support of some amazing nurses and doctors.

“He was a very talented, charming and sometimes cheeky boy. Johnny was very determined and strong-willed.
“He fought to the end and fought as hard as he could. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give.
“We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives.”
In August 2017, Ruffo announced that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer and was beginning “aggressive treatment”.
He went into remission after the surgery, but the brutal disease returned in 2021.
In August, Ruff’s girlfriend Tahnee shared a touching tribute to mark his sixth year of battling cancer.
Sims said: “Six years after diagnosis. What a fighter!”
Ruffo shared a glimpse of his health journey on his own Instagram page, including pictures from chemotherapy.
He had a tumor removed from his skull after doctors noticed an abnormality when he went to see them with a migraine.
Ruffo rose to fame thanks to his singing talent after coming third on The X Factor Australia in 2011.
He then joined Home And Away in 2013 where he stayed until May 2016, after announcing: “I loved my time in Summer Bay.
“Chris has a lot more to come and I hope fans continue to enjoy his time on screen.”
Johnny also won Australia’s version of Strictly in 2012 and his latest single was 2015’s She Got That O.
Big stars like Heath Ledger, Chris Hemsworth and Isla Fisher started their film careers in Home And Away.
The series, set in a fictional town in New South Wales, began in 1988 and is currently broadcast in the UK on Channel 5.
