Jon Hamm Reveals He Hopes to One Day Have Kids with Wife Anna Osceola: 'I Will Be the Old Dad'

Jon Hamm shares his hopes to one day start a family with wife Anna Osceola.

The Emmy winner recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter and opened up about his relationship with Osceola, 36, and the possibility of the two expanding their family.

The Fargo The actor shared that due to his parents’ early divorce, he previously “didn’t look at marriage as a thing,” but since marrying his wife, “he hopes [their marriage] they turn into children.”

“I have not forgotten that I am 53 years old,” he admitted. “I’ll be an old dad, but that’s the way it goes. That could be a good thing. We’ll see.”

Jon Hamm explains why he was ‘terrified’ when he proposed to wife Anna Osceola: ‘This is really scary’

The Crazy people alum explained that at first he was terrified to propose to Osceola. “I just remember feeling, ‘This is really scary,'” he admitted. “Then he says, ‘Well, that probably means it’s worth it.'”

“And my wedding day was perfect. Everyone I love was there. It was so emotional and felt real. I said, ‘OK, I guess this is the thing.’ We did it [where they had shot the Mad Men finale], which was also amazing. Again, it was like a reset, reboot, reframe, reinvent, nine years later, almost to the day. ”

“Obviously, my parents weren’t married very long, so I don’t have a role model that I can look to and say, ‘Oh, this is how you find happiness,'” he said. “I just knew at a certain point that I wanted to be with this person. But when I proposed to her, I was terrified. I asked myself, ‘What am I doing?’ ”

Hamm and Osceola first met when she had a small role in the final episode of Hamm’s AMC series Crazy people, which aired its series finale in 2015. The two were not romantically linked until they were seen spending time together in 2020; PEOPLE confirmed that they were engaged in February 2023. The couple tied the knot on June 24, 2023, in Anderson Canyon in Big Sur, California — at Crazy people finals.

In November, he shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the couple’s wedding “was a perfect day.”

“It was very exciting,” the Morning show the actor told host Jimmy Kimmel. “We made it this summer in beautiful Big Sur,” adding a joke about getting married at age 52, “It only took me half a century, but I thought I might as well do it right, so here we go.”

He caught up with PEOPLE the following month and talked about spending the holidays with Osceola some six months after they tied the knot.

“The best part of it is being together. That’s really it,” he said then. “It’s doubly nice that we’re married now and it’s really fun, but hopefully it continues and you start making new traditions with your family and all that stuff, and that’s the best.”
