Jon McGreevey Was Arrested For Fabricating Information In A Child Trafficking Case

Jon McGreevey, a candidate for the US Senate from Maryland, was arrested on July 15, 2022 for falsely reporting a case of child sex trafficking. According to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, the Senate candidate was charged with making false statements to police after she reported in April that a man allegedly forced a girl, ages 10 to 12, into sexual activities with male customers at an adult bookstore.

Ryan Dark White, 54, a candidate running under the name Dr. Jon McGreevey, said the attack happened at an adult convenience store in the 3000 block of Pulaski Highway in Edgewood. However, a subsequent investigation revealed that there was no evidence to support this claim. There were no witnesses to the alleged behavior, and detectives assigned to the Harford County Youth Protection Center identified an adult man and a child in the release. The representatives claim that:

“Detectives spoke with witnesses, investigated leads, obtained digital evidence and identified the adult male and adolescent female named in the first complaint. According to the investigation, no person in the facility engaged in or offered sexual relations, as stated by White.”

A week before his arrest, on July 7, McGreevey was questioned by investigators. He is being held at the Harford County Detention Center pending an appearance before a District Court commissioner.

Jon McGreevey, who describes himself as a “Patriot. Whistleblower, a 2022 Maryland candidate “is a well-known internet personality. His now-defunct Twitter account (@/Johnheretohelp) garnered a lot of attention online. However, many of his longtime fans were unaware that he is also a politician running for government.

In a press release, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey R. Gahler said:

“It is dishonorable for a candidate for public office to invent such a story and exploit it to further their own political agenda.”

Speaking about Baltimore County Sheriff candidate Andy Kuhl, who was seen with McGreevey in an interview about child trafficking gangs, Harford County Sheriff said:

“That’s even scarier than someone aspiring to a job in the police accepting such an obviously false story to gain political momentum – nothing more.”

Republican Rep. Jon McGreevey is one of ten Republican candidates running for US Senate in Maryland, according to Ballotpedia.org. The primaries will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
