The Age and Early Life of Jonathan Ke Quan
Jonathan Ke Quan was born on August 20, 1971 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. When the Republic of Vietnam army was defeated at the fall of Saigon, he was forced to flee his homeland. His family later received political asylum and immigrated to the United States. The identity of his parents remains unknown. He started his career as a child actor when he was only 12 years old. He is of American and Vietnamese origin. Furthermore, it is of Chinese origin.
Regarding his education, he attended Mount Gleason Jr. High School. High in Tujunga, California and Alhambra High School in Alhambra, California. He then graduated from the University of Southern California with a BA in Film Arts. In addition, he studied at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.

Quan first appeared in ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’ as Harrison Ford’s assistant Short Round. He starred in the television short film ‘Cyndi Lauper: The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough’ in 1985. He also played the character Date in ‘The Goonies’. He has since starred in a number of additional films and television shows. In total, he has almost ten acting roles. ‘Second Time Around,’ ‘Red Pirate,’ ‘Encino Man,’ ‘Tales from the Crypt,’ ‘Head of the Class,’ ‘Breathing Fire,’ ‘Passenger: Sugisarishi Habit,’ and ‘Nothing Is Easy’ are some of which additional films and television shows in which Quan starred.
In addition, he has two credits as a stuntman, one as a cinematographer and one as a producer. He is now a martial artist and stunt coordinator. He recently collaborated with Jet Li. Quan also received a Young Artist Award in 1987 for his performance in ‘Together We Stand’ in the Outstanding Performance by a Young Actor category. It was also nominated for a Saturn Award.
