Jordan Morgan was born Jordan Daniel Konkoly on September 15, 1991 at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, to parents Meredith Morgan, née Konkoly, and Bobby Deloach. However, his biological father has largely been out of his life since his birth. In addition, his mother raised him as a single mother until she married Jim Morgan, her adoptive father, in 2001.
When he was 12 years old, his stepfather adopted him and gave him his last name. Morgan graduated from Jesuit High School and University of Detroit Academy. Morgan was a four-year varsity basketball player at Detroit Jesuit, of which he was a three-year starter. During high school, he averaged 14.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game. Morgan averaged 20 points per game his senior year.

Jordan Morgan went undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft and spent the NBA Summer League with the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, Morgan joined Italian Lega Basket Serie A club Pallacanestro Virtus Roma on 27 July 2014.[10] In 34 games, he averaged 8.1 points and 6.5 rebounds.
Morgan reached an agreement with Hermine de Nantes Atlantique on July 23, 2015. He scored 9.3 points and grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game. Additionally, Morgan officially joined Paris-Levallois on January 26, 2016. On March 22, he left Paris-Levallois. Three days later, he was signed by the Canton Charge of the NBA Development League. He made his Charge debut on March 26 in a 122–111 win against the Erie BayHawks, posting one point, six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 11 minutes off the bench.
