Josh Brolin Reacts to Internet Thinking He Wants to ‘Make Out’ with Timothée Chalamet: ‘Out of Control’

Josh Brolin opens up about the internet thinking he wants to “make out” with Timothée Chalamet.

Speaking on Tuesday’s episode Good morning AmericaBrolin, 56, addressed rumors stemming from his poetry about his costar, 28, in a new Dune a book, Dune: Expositions.

“Yeah… you know, it got out of hand. You know what, when you’re an older actor, okay, and you’re looking at new, great younger talent, I get excited,” Brolin said. “So you sit there and you see Florence Pugh, or you see Zendaya, or you see Timothée, and I get excited.”

“Especially people who work hard,” he continued. “So I’m sitting there writing and I don’t have a scene that day, and I’m writing these beautiful things, and then the internet picks up on it and thinks I want to make out with Timothée or whatever.”

“That makes no sense,” Brolin added. “That says more about them than it does about me.”

Dune: Expositions collects hundreds of “intimate, evocative photographs” taken by director of photography Greig Fraser on sets Dina: The first part and Dina: The second part. The book consists of candid photos from the set, as well as Brolin’s poetic notes.

Brolin plays the role of Warmaster Gurney Halleck in Dina: The first part and in the upcoming sequel, which will be released on March 1.

Chalamet also plays the role of Paul Atreides in both films.

Meanwhile, Brolin’s comments come after actor Dave Bautista revealed to PEOPLE that he has a “man crush” on Brolin.

“God, I’m in love with a man, with Josh Brolin,” Bautista, 55, told PEOPLE. “I love him as a performer, as a human being.”
