I’M A Celeb star Josie Gibson has revealed the terrifying reason she was rushed to hospital after her performance Down Under.
The TV presenter, 38, yesterday revealed her secret emergency check-up just days after leaving the jungle.

She told viewers in the continuation of the show This Morning on Thursday that she visited the hospital last Friday.
Speaking during an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women today, Josie opened up about her surprising ordeal.
She told the panel: “When I came out, I was on the flight home and I started feeling really bad, I was shaking. And then when I came back I had bad tonsillitis. I couldn’t breathe.
“So they took me to the hospital on Friday. They gave me a lot of steroids to get all the swelling down. It was a little hard to get through this morning.”
She thanked NHS staff and praised them for their hard work.
She said: “I just want to say thank you to everyone at the RUH in Bath, I couldn’t have made it this morning without you.
“So thanks to all the doctors and nurses.”
She was “hanging by a thread” for several days during her recovery, but she was glad to be home.
It comes after Josie revealed she will be spending Christmas in a luxury hotel this year.
The presenter spent Christmas with Alison Hammond last year, but this time she used up some much needed rest and relaxation.
Josie and her son Reggie will be staying at the 5-star Celtic Manor Hotel in Wales, which has hosted Barack Obama in the past and can cost up to £500 a night.
The stunning hotel is set around three championship golf courses, boasts a spa, private guest cabins and a range of top restaurants.
Josie revealed her plans on yesterday’s This Morning when chef Clodagh McKenna told her she could make her own canapés for Christmas.
The Bristol-based presenter is understood to have been paid £100,000 for her time on I’m A Celebrity, which took her to fourth place.
She is also set to earn even more money as The Sun revealed she will receive a 50% pay rise as part of the upcoming reshuffle at This Morning.
Josie has been in talks for a more prominent and regular appearance – meaning a big new salary.
A source said: “Josie will get a new role in the show and get two days a week.”
