Julia Roberts Reveals Why She Decided to Share Rare Photo of Her Twins on Social Media

Julia Roberts rarely shares pictures of her twins, Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter, but she decided to publicly celebrate their 19th birthday.

“It’s something to celebrate, and I know Instagram is a place where people like to share happy things,” Roberts, 56, told Extra.

“I love them so much and I really stumbled across this sweet picture,” he said Pretty Woman star added. “It allows me to share something as their proud parent without intruding on their privacy at all.”

On November 28 Erin Brockovich The Oscar winner shared an old photo of Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter when they were babies, sitting on her lap.

“✨✨19✨✨ There are no words for joy, fun, wild rhythm of life together 💕”, she captioned the photo.

Roberts also shares son Henry Daniel, 16, with husband Danny Moder.

During the Extra interview, Roberts was joined by Mahershala Ali to discuss their upcoming Netflix film, Leave the world behind. The upcoming film depicts a massive technological failure during a world-ending catastrophe. But Roberts admitted that being at home “with the kids and no gadgets” actually “sounds like a good time” to her.

She explained that her children are not dependent on technology, but she misses a period in time “when you couldn’t reach people or they couldn’t reach you.”

“I mean the family that gets together at the end of the day and you actually have something to talk about at dinner because you haven’t been in touch all day a hundred times… or a busy signal.”

Roberts also shared brief insights about her family life with Hoda Kotb u Today interview on Monday morning.

“I appreciate both of my older children immensely because they still allow me to be the same mom to them and it’s not something to roll my eyes at. There is a tremendous amount of understanding,” she said.

“I raise them in the same way as at home. What is: ‘Are you getting enough sleep? You sound like you’re sick. Do you drink tea?’ And, ‘Text me when you get home so I can see you’re alive and well.’ ”

Appearing on CBS Sunday Morning last year, Roberts spoke openly about nurturing family life and taking a different approach to her career in recent years.
