When Assange was a child, his family relocated frequently, and he received his education through a combination of homeschooling and correspondence courses. He showed an amazing ability for computers as a teenager, and under the hacker alias “Mendax,” he gained access to several protected systems, including those at NASA and the Pentagon. He was accused of 31 counts of cybercrime by Australian authorities in 1991; he admitted guilt to the most of them.
He was only given a minor fee as punishment during sentencing, and the judge determined that his acts were the consequence of young curiosity. Over the following ten years, Assange travelled, worked as a computer security consultant, and attended the University of Melbourne to study physics but left before graduating.

The last appeal Julian Assange filed to avoid extradition to the US was denied by the Supreme Court. Mr Assange’s application did not present “an arguable point of law,” according to a court official. His attempts to avoid extradition have been severely damaged by the judgement. The 50-year-old founder of Wikileaks is sought after in the US following the release of thousands of top-secret papers in 2010 and 2011.
According to his solicitors, he hadn’t ruled out making one more appeal. District Judge Vanessa Baraitser, who initially evaluated the US’s extradition request, will now take up the case once more.
The final decision is then anticipated to be made by Home Secretary Priti Patel. According to Mr. Assange’s attorneys at Birnberg Peirce, he might launch a new challenge at that point if she grants the extradition.
The US government has charged Mr. Assange on 18 counts of conspiring to hack into military databases to obtain sensitive material on the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, which was later made public on the Wikileaks website.
