Career
Mike Allgaier led additional ARCA races in 2003, starting six times in the No. 86 owned by his father. He finished sixth in his second start at Toledo Speedway and later finished third at Salem Speedway.
He started just five times, but finished second at Toledo the following season. In addition, he represented the United States in the South Pacific Sedan Championship, where he finished in the top five twice.
Allgaier competed in seven ARCA races in 2005, splitting his time between cars owned by Hixson Motorsports and Bobby Gerhart Racing. In addition to setting a new track record, he won his first career pole at Springfield and finished in the top five four times.
Allgaier made his first regular run in ARCA in 2006, finishing 10th, becoming the first Springfield-area resident to win in the 72-year history of championship stock car racing at the fairgrounds.
He also competed in three more truck races for MB, finishing twenty-first at Kansas Speedway. In 2007, he won his second career ARCA race at Salem and finished fourth in points. In May 2008, Allgaier signed a contract with Penske Racing to drive four NASCAR Nationwide Series races in their No. 12 Dodge. Later in 2009, Allgaier signed a contract to drive the car full-time.
Allgaier had the fastest car at the start of the race and tried to pass Canadian road ace Kyle Busch and Ron Fellows while finishing sixth in the 2009 NAPA 200 in Montreal. Similarly, he caused an accident that eliminated both him and Fellows from the race.
Allgaier had a similar season in 2010, but on March 20 he would win his first Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway and finish fourth in the standings.
Furthermore, Allgaier returned to the renamed Turner Scott Motorsports, with which he won the 2012 NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Quebec.

Furthermore, Allgaier had just one top-20 finish in the first four races of the 2021 Xfinity season, a 14th at Las Vegas. He won his first race three races later at Darlington Raceway Speedway, defeating Cup champion Martin Truex Jr.
