Justin Long accepts his new addition!
While co-hosting Friday’s episode ConversationThe 45-year-old actor shared that he loves wearing his wedding ring — despite initial fears that it would be embarrassing.
“I thought it would suffocate me and I wouldn’t be able to take it off. But I love it,” said Long, who married actress Kate Bosworth in May 2023.
The subject of wedding rings came up after co-host Jerry O’Connell asked guest Milo Ventimiglia how he was enjoying married life. The This is us alum — who secretly married model Jarah Mariano in a private ceremony last year — said he never takes off his ring because he’s so “excited” to be a husband.
After Long admitted he was hesitant about wearing the ring, Ventimiglia, 46, jokingly asked Bosworth, who was sitting in the audience, “Do you hear this?”
She replied with a laugh, “I just let it hang — like, over and over again.”

Unfazed by the woman’s playful ribbing, Long discovered that the wedding ring he was now wearing was not his original ring. “I lost it. I lost the ring. This is the second ring,” he said, prompting co-host Sheryl Underwood to jokingly chime in and share the husband’s perspective.
“I’m going to tell you all something you don’t know about women. We can feel and hear when that ring comes off your finger,” she said as the camera panned to show Bosworth, 41, laughing.
Long previously shared how he lost his wedding ring just months after tying the knot with Bosworth in a casual, impromptu ceremony at the Rockaway Hotel in Queens, New York. “I don’t have my ring because, unfortunately, I lost it,” Kelly told Ripa and Mark Consuelos in a May 2023 episode of the show. After the audience groaned teasingly in response, Long added, “Oh, well, I shouldn’t have revealed that! I could have just said I left it backstage!”

He also opened up about married life with Bosworth, telling Ripa and Consuelos that he feels “very lucky” to have A confidential informant star as his wife and that he felt an instant spark with her when they first met.
“I knew right away I was going to be friends with her forever. We got along so well,” he said of Bosworth. “I know it sounds so general.”

At Bosworth’s 41st birthday party last month, Long appeared to hint that he envisions starting a family with his wife in the future.
“One day our kids might ask me, ‘Dad, why did you write mean things about mom on that old Instagram app? The one you won’t let us have?’ ” Long wrote in his lengthy message on Instagram. “And I’m going to say, ‘Well, _____, because there’s a lot of toxic stuff on the internet, but your mom always inspires me to put good things into the world.’ ”
He added: I’ve been so blessed to experience so many fun, wonderful things in this life — things I’ll never be able to properly express my gratitude for — but of all the joys, touching my mom and making her laugh are my favorites.”
