Career
Normally, a college basketball player would try to enter the draft in order to be selected by a major league basketball team or to reach the NBA. But Justin Tatum was unique. He had no desire to become a professional basketball player. He preferred being a coach.
He changed his career from college basketball to coaching. To be honest, his coaching record is more impressive than his college basketball stats.
Coach Tatum and his team finished third in the standings in 2010 and 2011. But in 2012 he won the state championship with the Soldan Tigers, the team he coached at the time.
Similarly, he won a National Championship with his then Christian Brothers College (CBC) team in 2014. He also won three PHL (Public High League) Conference with District Championships.
He won the Metro Catholic Conference (MCC) championship twice, in 2014 and 2019, and also won five district championships.
