Saturn Kacey Musgraves is back — in Saturday night live!
For her third musical guest appearance on the sketch comedy show, Musgraves, 35, took to the stage to perform two songs from her upcoming sixth studio album. A deeper well.
Wearing a blue and white patchwork jacket, the singer opted to go barefoot to perform the title track from her new record, ‘Deeper Well’, which was introduced by Tonight Show host Sydney Sweeney.
It’s not the first time Musgraves has decided to ditch the footwear while on stage, during her performance at the 2023 Grammy Awards, she also went barefoot during her performance of “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” which she sang in honor of Loretta Lynn.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, Musgraves also unveiled the second track from her upcoming album, “Too Good to be True.” Again presented by Sweeney, 26, the country singer opted for another blue look, this time a chic blue dress with a striking asymmetric hem and plunging neckline, which she paired with bare knee-high boots.
The seven-time Grammy winner has been announced A deeper well on February 8 in conjunction with the lead single, the album’s title track. Set for release on March 15, the record is vulnerable and creates a connection between the singer and her listener, Musgraves said on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music 1 show.

“I think there are almost no mysteries in life, especially for artists. But at the same time, we are here to connect,” the The golden hour – said the singer. Although she calls herself a “homebody” who values privacy, Musgraves said her goal is to “freak it out” with the new album.
“It is definitely my most down-to-earth period so far. Now I’m 35 and I know myself better than I did in previous years, previous albums, and I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be,” Musgraves told PEOPLE. “I definitely think the music and hopefully the fragrance will reflect that.”

Her last SNL appeared in 2021 after her fifth studio album starry, her first LP since her divorce from fellow Nashville singer-songwriter Ruston Kelly. During the episode, hosted by Owen Wilson, Musgraves performed “Justified,” an introspective song that validates her emotions after the breakup.
