“I just happened to have this idea… Because it was a big, wide open green space. And I thought, ‘What if I was really small?’ Like in a fetal position, kind of, into the ground,” she told the radio show. “And it’s just kind of vulnerable and almost like a rebirth, I guess.”
Later, Kacey wanted to share the work with the rest of their family. “I was showing my parents and grandparents the photos my sister had taken. And then she appeared naked, and Nana said, ‘Pant!’ In fact, it was as if she had just seen an accident,” recalled her grandmother Barbara.
“And she said, ‘No!’ She said, ‘That’s not… that’s processing?’ And I said ‘Yes, that’s one of the covers,'” added the “Butterfly” performer. “And she said, ‘Kacey, you’re a singer, not a stripper.’ And I said, ‘Well, you know what? You can be both.'”

“She’s such a trip. She came to a listening party the other day and this lady, she was like my booking agent when I was 12,” Kacey recalled. “She was like ready to give everyone a CD and try to get everyone to book me for their event, but weirdly, it worked most of the time. But she’s just funny.”
Then she continued: “After all these years, I’m almost 30 years old, and she still has such a big problem that I curse a lot. And I said, ‘This is not a new fact, as you have known for many years,’ and she just shivers every time i say something she’s like, ‘Kacey.'”
