On Tuesday, 16-year-old actress Kailia Posey passed away. She was well-known for her role in the reality TV show “Toddlers and Tiaras” and for becoming the “Grinning Girl” GIF.
The sad father Steve Gatterman confirmed his daughter’s suicide in a heartbreaking Facebook post on Wednesday night, one day later. He claimed that one hasty choice put an end to her “earthly life.”
Although she was a talented adolescent with a promising future, he said, “Unfortunately, in one hasty moment, she made the rash decision to end her earthly life.” Gatterman pleaded with the’members of the national media’ in his caption to refrain from contacting, texting, messaging, and bothering their friends and families.
“As a family, we are absolutely destroyed and have more questions than answers. As we look for coping mechanisms for the tragic loss of our lovely girl, we ask for privacy,” he added. We have nothing further to say. Posey’s family has established a fund in her honour to offer aid to kids facing hardships.
Without providing many specifics, the late actress’s mother Marcy Posey Gatterman announced her untimely death on Facebook on Tuesday along with a photo of her daughter. She also asked that their followers respect their privacy.
“I don’t have any thoughts or words. A lovely baby girl has passed away. Please respect our privacy while we grieve Kailia’s passing. My baby always,” she continued.
When Posey debuted on the American reality TV programme in 2012, he was only 5 years old. She took part in the show’s “California Tropic Arizona” episode as one of the contestants.
Her brief appearance, in which she could be seen scrunching up her face and making a stupid expression, became a well-known GIF at the onset of the meme craze and was given the name “Grinning Girl.”
Posey then went on to portray Agnes in the 2019 horror film “Eli” on Netflix. She had competed in numerous pageants and received countless awards for doing so. He was recently recognised as Miss Teen Washington’s second runner-up. Posey intended to continue working in the entertainment sector and work towards her goal of becoming a professional pilot.
