Sane returned to WWE in a WWE Women’s Championship match at Crown Jewel On Saturday. Returning as a heel, Sane teamed with IYO SKY, supporting her in a victory over Bianca Belair. As Belair tried to grab Sky, Bayley jumped on the apron to distract. Belair responded by going after Bayley outside the ring. Sky tried to intervene, but Belair avoided her, forcing Sky to inadvertently collide with Bayley. Belair was about to apply KOD to Bayley when Sane unexpectedly returned, saving her.
Sane hit Belair with a back kick and then hit a knee into the barrier, causing Belair to fall into the ring frame. The referee was fixated on Sky and did not see Sane’s attack. This allowed Belair to re-enter the ring without being called out. However, SKY took advantage of the opportunity by performing a moonsault and pinning Belair to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.
