Kamlesh Patel is an Indian spiritual sage, entrepreneur and author. He is the fourth spiritual master in the series of Raja Yoga Gurus in the Sahaj Marg system of Raja Yoga meditation. In 2023, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India’s third highest civilian award, by the Indian government.

Kamlesh Desaibhai Patel was born on Friday 28 September 1956 (age 66 years 2022) in Kala, a village in Bharuch district of the Indian state of Gujarat. His zodiac sign is Libra. After completing his studies, he studied at Maharaja’s University of Baroda. Thereafter, he enrolled in LM College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad and graduated with honors. When Daji moved to New York City, he began his life as an entrepreneur. He owns several pharmacies in Brooklyn, including Marg Pharmacy Inc, Pharmacy Inc Carewell, Lindenwood Rx Center Inc, Woodhull Rx Prescription Center and Slope Drugs & Surgical Supply.
Spirituality
In 1976, inspired by Swami Vivekananda, he began practicing mindfulness meditation and began meditating on his own. Later that year he met his guide, Shri Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur (Babuji), who was a member of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission Founder and first president of (Shri Ram Chandra Mission), a non-profit Indian organization that teaches the practice of the Way of Nature. In October 2011, he was announced as the successor of Shri Ram Chandra. In August 2012, he was appointed Vice President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission. Later, he returned to India and started living in Heart Garden, Chennai. After Chariji’s death on December 20, 2014, Daaji became the third president of Shri Ram Chandra Mission.

- He is affectionately called “Daji” by his followers.
- When he was young, he wanted to be a doctor.
- He said in an interview that despite scoring 241 points out of a possible 300 on a public physical examination, he was denied admission to medical school because another student with the same score was admitted based on his score. . Biology scores are higher than Daji. Since Daji’s family did not allow him to apply for medical colleges outside Gujarat, he applied for admission to LM College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad. However, he was denied admission as the college refused to admit his graduates from Maharaja Sayajra University of Baroda. Despite the rejection, Daji filled out the application and asked management to consider him. Later, he was called to the principal’s office, and the principal told him that since Daji performed well when he graduated, Daji would be allowed to study pharmacy courses at the college.
