Kancharla Srikanth is the candidate of the Telugu Desam Party, which won the Rayalaseema East (Prakasam-Nellore-Chittoor) seat on Saturday March 18, 2023. Kancharla won the seat by a margin of 34,110 votes over his closest rival Pernati Shyam Prasad Reddy from YSRC party.
The vote count ended with a total of 2,69,339 examined votes and 20,979 invalid votes.
Telugu Desam candidate Kancharla was leading from the first round of counting. However, he failed to get 50 percent of the total votes cast during first priority.
After the second priority vote count, Kancharla got 1,24,181 votes and his closest rival Shyam Prasad got 90,071 votes.
Democratic Progressive Front candidate Meegada Venkateswara Reddy is in third place.
