Kansas City Chiefs Win in Germany as Travis Kelce Becomes New All-Time Leading Receiver in Franchise History

The tight end now has 10,941 career receiving yards, surpassing Tony Gonzalez’s previous record by one

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are enjoying their latest win!

A week after a “frustrating” loss to the Denver Broncos, Travis Kelce and the NFL team were able to defeat the Miami Dolphins 21-14 in Sunday’s game in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Chiefs dominated early with a solid 21-point lead by the end of the first half, with two touchdown passes thrown by quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the second quarter, according to ESPN.

Although the Kansas City team failed to score in the second half, the Miami Dolphins ended the game with only 14 points in the third quarter.

As for the Kansas City tight ends, Kelce, 34, finished the game with 14 yards on 3 catches.

According to The Athletic, Kelce’s career receiving total is 10,941 yards — allowing him to surpass Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez’s previous record of 10,940 and become the new all-time leading receiver in Chiefs franchise history.

Even after breaking the record, Kelce’s performance in Sunday’s game proves that Swift’s stat — that when the music icon is at Chiefs games, Kelce averages more than twice as many yards as when he’s not — still holds true, seeing as Taylor Swift wasn’t in Germany to cheer on the Chiefs and her sweetheart.

In last week’s episode New heights with Jason and Travis KelceTravis told his brother Jason Kelce about his improved performance on the court when Swift, 33, is there to cheer him on.

“When T Swift is at the game, you’re averaging 99 yards, and when it’s just your friends and the rest of your family, you’re averaging 46.5 yards per game,” the Philadelphia Eagles center, 35, said.

Travis Kelce on Kansas City Chiefs’ ’embarrassing’ loss to Denver Broncos: ‘Sick to my stomach’

Travis replied, “It’s kind of hard for me to imagine that sentence.”

Yet a week later, after the team’s 24-9 loss to the Broncos, Kelce said his team as a whole lacked a “sense of urgency” against Russell Wilson’s team in a loss without Taylor.

The NFL star said he “felt uncomfortable during the game” and that the Chiefs’ offensive line “couldn’t get anything going.”

“That’s embarrassing, man,” Travis told his brother.

As the team tries to fix its problems on offense before this week’s international game, Travis has once again been the focus of many sports reporters.

On Friday, a member of the media threw a tough question at him during his press conference – but he took it with a smile.

During his scheduled media presence, a reporter asked the NFL star a boldly personal question about his new romance with Swift. According to ESPN Jeff Darlingtonthe reporter asked, “What’s your latest status and are you in love?”

IN video shared by the El Capologist Podcast on Xu, Kelce replied with a smile, “The last status is I saw her last week. That’s the latest status here.”

The journalist did not allow Kelce to avoid the second part of her question, because she quickly added: “And the second question was… are you in love?”

Kelce, still smiling, replied, “I’ll keep my personal relationship personal.”

The new couple has been making headlines for their relationship ever since Swift first attended one of his games, when she watched the Chiefs’ big win against the Chicago Bears on September 24 in Kansas City.
