Kate Hudson Celebrates ‘Beautiful and Inspiring’ Mom Goldie Hawn on Her 78th Birthday

Goldie Hawn is showered with love from her daughter Kate Hudson.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Almost famous star, 44, celebrated her mum’s 78th birthday with a sweet video filled with memories they made together.

The video featured photos of the two traveling, posing around a campfire, decorating a Christmas tree and hitting the red carpet.

In one shot, Hawn is seen dancing on a boat as Hudson cheers her on, saying, “Look at my mom going.”

Hudson wrote in the description that her mom is “a woman who is easy to celebrate.”

“Happiest birthday to the funniest, most beautiful and most inspiring mother ✨ We love you so much Gogo 🎉🎂🥳 Join me in using one word to describe what Gogo means to you and shout out a big HBD 🎁 My word for you today is @goldiehawn 💫MAJESTIC,” continued her description.

In the comments section, Hawn was congratulated by Lisa Rinna who wrote, “Queen.” Vinessa Shaw added, “Happy birthday sweet @goldiehawn!”

While speaking with PEOPLE in March 2022, Hudson shared how much Hawn has helped her grow personally.

“My mom has always been my inspiration and, in many ways, the foundation of my values. There’s no doubt that I inherited her love of life and all experiences, big and small,” she said.

In a tribute written in honor of Mother’s Day, Hudson thanked her mother for allowing her and her siblings to “be free” and “be wild.”

“My mom didn’t wait around to get the perfect picture. In fact, she has several pictures of us all together because she let us run around and be in the moment. The ones she does are always a little silly, a little blurry, half smiles, half tears, chocolate face and uncombed hair,” she wrote on Instagram.
