Kate Middleton and Prince William have favorite emojis just like the rest of us!
During an interview with Radio 1 presenters Jordan North and Vick Hope for their show Going Home, the royal couple were asked a few light-hearted questions by listeners.
When asked what their most used emojis were, William joked that he would have to think about a family-friendly option as his initial answer would be eggplant [eggplant].
“Is this a clean thing or is this a family thing?” he said with a laugh. “I was told not to say eggplant so I have to pick something else. It would be eggplant, but now I say – because I have to be an adult – it’s the one where the eyes go up and down and the mouth is out. What’s that? Kind of crazy. ”

Kate then shared which emoticon she opts for and gave listeners a little insight into when she uses it.
“Mine will probably be a heart with a crying emoji. Laughing hysterically when things go wrong,” he admitted royally.
Both presenters were amused by William’s initial suggestion of an eggplant emoticon. “He said the eggplant emoji, this is brilliant!” North said. Hope added: “He knows. He has a dirty mind.”

During a brief chat with Radio 1 hosts, the pair also joked about what they’ll have for dinner when they return to Windsor that evening: Curry, most likely. “I can’t spice it up too much, I start to sweat. It’s not attractive,” admitted William,
“And I like spice so I have to cook curry and then add spice, extra spice at the end,” added Kate.
William then joked that Kate “has to put him in gently because I sweat too much. It’s not a pretty sight!”

The pair were then asked if they wanted to hear a cover of a song sung by today’s Live Lounge guest — Leigh-Anne — or one of their own songs. “I think it definitely covers,” Kate said.
William agreed, “I’m going for cover too. Always as a cover.” The choice of the royal couple? The song made famous by Dionne Warwick, “Walk on By”.
Kate was also asked if she listens to Radio 1 “quite a lot”. “Yes, that’s true,” she said. “I’m starting to turn to Radio 2 and Radio 4. I’m getting a bit old school.”
“I have been listening to Radio 1 since I was a child. I always listened to it. I’ve heard a lot of your guys come and go, all the hosts over the years,” William added.
He then joked, “I can definitely say with great purpose that Greg James is an average DJ and Jordan and Vick are the future.”
“After saying this, I’ll never see Greg James again,” the prince joked, with Kate adding: “This is the end of our friendship.”

Kate also talked about how young people, like those at the forum, inspired the royal couple.
“Today, more people feel empowered to talk about their mental health than ever before,” she told the crowd.
“This is a huge step forward. William and I continue to be inspired to see young people, like all of you today, leading this action – you are particularly brave in some of these conversations. As a generation, you value and talk about your mental health more than anyone before you — something we sincerely admire and applaud.”
