Kate Walsh Is Almost Unrecognizable After Ditching Her Addison Montgomery Waves for a Choppy Blonde Pixie

Kate Walsh is changing her style!

Grey’s Anatomy Fans had to do a double take when it came to Walsh’s brand new look for Paris Fashion Week! The actress, 56, who became known to fans as Dr. Addison Montgomery Shepherd in the long-running medical drama, traded her red hair for blonde in City of Love.

Walsh showed off a voluminous version of the pixie cut at the Nina Ricci show during Paris Womenswear Spring-Summer 2025 at Hotel Potocki on Friday, September 27.

For the stylish event, she flashed some skin in a contrasting all-black outfit that alternated between monochrome and lace materials. Walsh added strappy heels and an oversized black blazer to complete her fashionable look.

In a car ride selfie video he shared on his Instagram Stories before the event, Walsh wore a pair of white cat-like sunglasses.

“Ok @NinaRicci Let’s go,” she captioned the clip.

Next up for her Paris photos was a shot of the star sitting pretty in flowers that same day at the Giambattista Valli Paris Spring-Summer 2025 womenswear show.

This time, Walsh wore her hair slicked back with a side parting for a major high fashion vibe. Underneath her floral print coat was a salmon colored chiffon blouse. Her makeup matched her pink look, and the actress accessorized with three pairs of tiny earrings.

A day before her double look, Walsh debuted blonde bangs at the Christopher Esber Spring-Summer 2025 womenswear show.

She stood out in an emerald green mini dress with long sleeves. The Emily in Paris the actress added sultry elements with a smokey eye and a bold red lip. She completed her look with black heels and gold hoop earrings.

Walsh’s wardrobe at Paris Fashion Week was a far cry from the scrubs she wore during her run at Grace Mercy West Hospital in Seattle.

Her character, Addison Shepherd, was first introduced when a double board certified OB/GYN appeared on the show trying to save her marriage to Derek Shepherd (played by Patrick Dempsey).

Unfortunately for her, Dr. McDreamy has already started getting close to Meredith Gray (played by Ellen Pompeo), prompting Addison’s departure.

However, all hope is not lost – she ended up with her own spin-off, Private practicesix seasons before returning to the series in season 18 as a recurring character.

And in the real world, Walsh had her own happy ending, announcing in October 2022 that she was engaged to Australian Andrew Nixon.
