Kate Winslet recently had a reunion with one of them Titanic cast members.
The Mare of Easttown star, 49, revealed during the latest episode The Graham Norton Show that she bumped into a cast member while filming at London’s Abbey Road Studios for the music of her drama Lee, in which she worked as an actress and producer.
“When we were there, I looked through the glass at the stage where all the musicians – [a] a huge orchestra of 120 members — and I look at this violinist and I think, ‘I know that face,’” she recalled.
“And then the day goes by and a few musicians start saying, ‘That’s it [him].’ And they’re kind of pointing at him,” added Winslet, mimicking the gesture.

Winslet said she tried to remember where she had seen the violinist before and even wondered if she was “related” to him. She said she eventually found out about their connection when she went to the orchestra at the end of the day to talk to him.
“So I walked in, and he said, ‘Kate, it’s me.’ And you know when Titanic goes down and the violinist gets up and says, ‘Come on, boys,’ and starts playing. It was that guy!” Winslet shared, referring to actor and musician Jonathan Evans-Jones, who played Wallace Hartley in the 1997 film.
“I thought, ‘That’s you!’ ” she continued. “It was amazing!”

Winslet described the chance reunion with Evans-Jones as “wonderful” and noted that she has had several encounters with other people she has worked with in the past and enjoys reconnecting with them each time.
“[We’ve] I had so many moments like that in the film, where people I’ve either worked with before or known for a long time, kind of grown up in the industry, just showed up for me and it was amazing,” she said.

Winslet — who starred in Titanic as Rose Dewitt Bukater alongside Leonardo DiCaprio — has spoken fondly of the James Cameron-directed film for years. She even commented on the controversial scene that had fans wondering if DiCaprio’s character Jack Dawson could have stood on top of the door she was in as the ship sank.
When asked if there was “room in the door” for Jack, The A revolutionary path the actress responded: “I thought, ‘He threw it out Titanic question, and the next they will ask me for the door.’ I absolutely knew it.”
“But, you know, what I will say that’s really interesting is that people keep calling it a door. It wasn’t really a door,” Winslet explained on the Australian talk show. Project earlier this month. “It’s a piece of railing, like a step or something, that broke off.”
“Who knows if they will [Jack] I could [fit] there or not. Honestly, I don’t have any insights into it that someone else hasn’t already tried to figure out,” she added.
