Kathy Griffin Files for Divorce from Husband Randy Bick After Nearly 4 Years of Marriage: ‘This Sucks’

Kathy Griffin and Randy Bick are starting the new year solo.

The couple ended their marriage after nearly four years of marriage, and Griffin, 63, filed for divorce in the California Supreme Court on Thursday. TMZ first broke the news.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Griffin listed Dec. 22 as the date of the couple’s separation. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.

The legal documents state that Griffin has asked to end the court’s ability to award spousal support to both parties. In addition, she requested that the court “implement the prenuptial agreement of December 23, 2019.”

The news of their split comes days before what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary. Reacting to the divorce news on Instagram, Griffin wrote: “Well… s–t. This is bullshit.”

Griffin and Bick began dating in 2011, but only tied the knot in January 2020. During a ceremony officiated by Lily Tomlin, Kathy Griffin: My D-List Life the alum wore the same dress she wore on the couple’s first date.

“Randy and I are making some kind of toy rings for the ceremony because neither of us likes to wear rings. So we’re never going to wear rings,” she shared with PEOPLE at the time. “Make peace with it.”

Griffin was previously married to Matt Moline from 2001 to 2006.
