Katie Holmes Ditched Her Roomy Tote Bag for a Compact Crossbody — and We’re About to Do the Same

Katie Holmes’ style always keeps us on our toes.

Despite the fact that this year she stretched out spacious bags several times, Dawson’s Creek actress, 45, she recently opted for something a little more compact while wandering the streets of SoHo, New York: a crossbody bag. Slung across her body, her bold bag was easy to spot thanks to its striking red color, another popular fashion trend that’s also seasonal. She styled it with a wide coat, a black turtleneck and dark blue jeans.

While the crossbody style was a change of pace for Holmes, it has been popular for some time. Taylor Swift regularly carries brown shoulder bags, while Jennifer Aniston, Mindy Kaling, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Lawrence and Sarah Jessica Parker have been seen with various other similar styles.
