Since then, she has been dating John Joe Slater, 31, from the latest series of Mafs UK.
A source told The Sun: “They have met a few times and text each other all the time. She really likes him – this is the first man she’s actually been interested in since Carl.”
Neither Katie nor JJ’s rep had comment when contacted by The Sun.
Katie and car dealer Carl had previously wanted to start a family together, but the later stages of their three-year romance were fraught and now it seems they are over for good.
JJ’s time at Mafs was full of drama. He was initially paired with Bianca Petronzi, but their relationship never took off.
Transgender bride Ella Morgan quickly caught JJ’s eye and the pair secretly exchanged messages behind Bianca’s back before being exposed at an explosive dinner party.
Ella’s then-fiancé, Nathanial Valentino, exploded at the table over the hidden exchange and eventually stormed out of the experiment.
A broken Bianca broke down and gave JJ and Ella a piece of her mind after the betrayal.
In a shocking twist, Ella and JJ then teamed up and continued the experiment.
But they failed to find lasting love and rejected each other in an emotional vow renewal.
Speaking to the camera, Ella said: “It’s fair to say that JJ will always have a special place in my heart.
“He made me see that I was good enough.”
