Katy Perry Bares Her Glossy Abs and QR Code Tramp Stamp with Wet Look at 2024 MTV VMAs

It’s Katy Perry’s world — we just live in it.

The “Woman’s World” singer, 39, went all out for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Perry hit the red carpet at New York’s UBS Arena on September 11 in a daring ensemble, continuing her edgy bare skin style.

She showed off her abs (which literally glistened in the spotlight) in a one-shoulder bra and floor-length skirt (both Who Decides War) that looked like they were wrapped in wet paper mâché and yarn, for a deconstructed vibe.

The skirt itself deserves a moment, as it was unbuttoned at the back to reveal a temporary QR code tattoo imprinted on Perry’s back, linking to the pre-order site for Perry’s upcoming studio album, 143, out September 20. Meanwhile on her arm was a black metal arm cuff that really added to the futuristic aesthetic.

The overall “wet” vibe (read super shiny and super chic) ​​of it all was completed by Perry’s black hair styled in shiny gelled curls.

Perry is not only performing at the show, but will also take the stage to accept the Video Vanguard Award as this year’s honoree.
