Katy Perry Gets New Finger Tattoo as She Celebrates Final Leg of Las Vegas Residency — See the Photo!

Katy Perry has fresh ink!

In a series of Instagram Story posts on Friday, the singer, 38, shared that she got a new tattoo on her fingers to celebrate the final leg of her Play residency in Las Vegas.

In the first post, Perry’s hand rested under a light as tattoo artist Liz Kim etched ink onto her finger.

“You know what it is? I bet you can’t guess what I’m getting right now,” the singer said in the video as the light obscured the details of her new body image. “But I’m going to tattoo my tour, it’s a tradition.”

“8 more #PLAY shows left so it’s tour tattoo time!!!” the “Firework” singer wrote over the clip.

In the following image, Perry showed off her new tattoo of a cartoon mushroom — a featured item in her Play residency.

Perry previously told PEOPLE that Play is beyond her wildest thoughts and is doing “amazing.” “These are all my biggest dreams, because it’s bigger than life, that are coming true,” she explained.

“It’s just wild. It’s a combination Honey, I cut back on the kids is meeting Pee-Wee’s Playroom” Perry added. “I play a puppet and everything is larger than life. And it’s a little trippy, I’d say.”

“It’s a show you can really only see in Vegas because I could never bring a 30-foot toilet on the road. There wouldn’t be a semi truck that could handle that,” she said.

Katy Perry says she ‘must’ tour after Las Vegas residency

After Play ends early next month, Perry said she plans to tour the world in the near future.

“I know there are a lot of people who couldn’t make it to Vegas,” Perry said in a recent interview with Out. “The last time I was on tour was in 2018. I’ve got… an appointment. How about that? I need to get out and see the kids who couldn’t make it to Vegas.”

And while the pop star noted that she was “proud of the series”, she joked that its elaborate sets and costumes were “technically impossible to drive around”.

“We are closing a chapter GAME it allows me to start a new chapter. I’m so excited about the potential for my story to continue,” Perry added.

Tickets for Perry’s Play residency — which ends on November 4 — are available for purchase now.
