Enter the world of crime
Kaushal’s criminal tryst began in 2004 when his family got into a land dispute with gangster Sudesh alias Chhelu. In 2005, Suresh’s brother was killed by Sudesh in an ongoing land dispute. The fight between the two, which resulted in the murder of nine members of both groups, ended only when Chhelu was shot dead by Kaushal on December 12, 2006 and subsequently arrested. In prison, he met other villains and formed his own gang. Gujjar and Amit Dagar of Rajasthan were the main members of the gang. Kaushal planned the murder of Sudesh’s wife while he was in jail and executed his plan after he was released on bail; Sudesh’s wife was killed in 2009.
He then absconded and committed many heinous crimes including murder, threats to murder, robbery, land grabbing, extortion, and kidnapping. Kaushal became one of the most feared gangsters in Gurgaon and Delhi after Gurgaon police encountered Sandeep Gadoli and Binder Gujjar was arrested in 2016 . Soon, his gang started operating in other parts of Haryana and Rajasthan, extorting huge sums of money from traders, real estate dealers and traders. After that, he teamed up with gangster Surender Geong to eliminate his opponents and expand gambling and bootlegging businesses in Gurgaon. They were both involved in multiple murders in 2016 and 2017. Chaudhry fled to Dubai via Thailand in 2017 and ran his gang from there. In 2019, he was involved in the murder case of Congress leader Vikas Chaudhry. In the same year, a red notice was issued against him and he was subsequently extradited from Dubai to India. After returning home, Kaushal was arrested by the Gurgaon Police Special Task Force at Palam Airport.
He later joined forces with the feared gangster Neeraj Bawana to enhance his dominance. As of 2022, Kaushal Chaudhary is lodged in Gurdaspur Jail in Punjab.
gang rivalry
Alliances are forming in northern India as gangs try to expand their sphere of influence. On one side, Lawrence Bishnoi along with gangsters Subey Gujjar (Gurugram), Kala Jattedi (Haryana), Jitender Gogi (Outer Delhi), Anand Pal Singh (Rajasthan) and Hashim Baba (Northeast Delhi) sided. On the other hand, Bishnoi’s rivals Davinder Bambiha and Neeraj Bawana (Delhi), Kaushal Chaudhary ( Gurgaon) and Sunil alias Tillu Tajpuriya (Outer Delhi) allied themselves. While Lawrence Bishnoi Syndicate is arguably the most notorious, it also faces stiff competition from Davinder Bambiha Syndicate. There have been many wars between the two gangs. Kaushal Chaudhary along with his aide Amit Dagar conspired to murder Akali Dal youth leader Vicky Middukhera in Mohali in August 2021 . Apparently, Vicky’s association with Lawrence Bishnoi led to his murder.
Kaushal’s name also cropped up in the murder case of kabaddi international player Sandeep Nangal Ambian, who was murdered on March 14, 2022, in Jalandhar, Punjab. Kaushal was also involved in the murder case of a Congress leader. Later, the Bishnoi gang shot dead Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala on May 29, 2022, to avenge Vicky’s murder. Lawrence also conspired to murder two brothers of a liquor merchant in Gurgaon’s Pataudi town. Apparently, the businessman was very close to Kaushal Chowdhury. In September 2022, Kaushal Chaudhary, along with the Bambiha gang, claimed responsibility for the murder of Sandeep Sethi aka Sandeep Bishnoi (gangster); the gangster was shot dead in full view while returning from an appearance in the Nagaur district court in Rajasthan.
