Kavi Kumar Azad, 46 years old (born May 12, 1972), is an actor and comedian from Sasaram, Bihar, India. Yesterday Bollywood comedian Tutu visited his hometown in Sasaram, Bihar, when he was young and predicted that he would one day become an actor. Her addition changed his world and perspective, and he was determined to become an actor. On the contrary, his family opposed him pursuing an acting career because they were facing a financial crisis at the time and wanted him to stay by their side and become their pillar of support during difficult times. However, Kavi’s passion for acting could not resist his family’s stance and he ran away from home to Mumbai to become an actor. His initial days in Mumbai were a nightmare as he had neither money nor connections in Mumbai. So, he used to live on the sidewalk and sometimes go hungry all day long. Although he started off with small roles in Bollywood films, his luck started showing up when he essayed the role of Dr Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and the rest is history .

On July 9, 2018, despite health issues, he was supposed to attend a meeting with the cast and producers of “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah”. But, fate had other plans and he suffered a massive heart attack on the same day and was rushed to Wockhardt Hospital in Mumbai where he breathed his last.
