Kavin was born on 22 June 1990 in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu (age 29; as of 2019). His zodiac sign is Cancer.
He completed his schooling in Tiruchirapalli and went to Loyola College in Chennai, Tamil Nadu to pursue a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. While in college, he participated in an RJ hunting competition on an FM channel. After that, he started appearing in short films. Kavin joined an acting studio and started auditioning for some movies and TV shows. When he was in his final year, he was selected in an audition held by Star Vijay, after which he gave up his studies and started pursuing an acting career.

Kavin started his acting career in 2011 in Star Vijay’s TV series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal, in which he played the role of ‘Shiva’. He next appeared in the role of ‘Murugan’ in the serial ‘Saravanan Meenatchi’. Later, he played the lead role of “Vettaiyan” aka “Saravana Perumal” in the sequel of the serial “Saravana Meenatchi”. His performance in the series earned him widespread popularity.
In 2015, Kavin co-hosted the Vijay Television Awards. Next, he made a cameo appearance in the film “Indru Netru Naalai”. He made his debut in a supporting role in the Tamil film “Sathriyan”. Thereafter, he played the lead role in the Tamil film Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma.
He also hosted the reality show “Lord of the Dance” (season 2).
In 2019, Kavin entered the Big Boss Tamil 3 house as a participant.
