Kavita Chaudhary (1957-2024) was an Indian actress, television producer and television director. She mainly works in Hindi television industry. She is famous for her role as IPS officer Kalyani Singh in the television series “Udaan” (1989-1991) aired on DD National. She died of cardiac arrest on February 15, 2024.

She gained immense popularity after playing the role of IPS officer Kalyani Singh in the TV series “Udaan” (1989-1991) aired on DD National. She also serves as a writer, producer and director for the TV series. The TV series is based on the life story of her sister Kanchan Chaudhary Bhattacharya. Kanchan is the second woman after Kiran Bedi to become an IPS officer.
