Ke Huy Quan Congratulates Former Costar Harrison Ford on His 2024 Critics Choice Honor: 'So Happy'

“I’m so happy I was in the room when you won the award,” Quan told his Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom co-star.

Ke Huy Quan is one of Harrison Ford’s biggest cheerleaders — even at the Critics Choice Awards.

The Loki The actor, 52, who presented the award for best actress in a drama series right after Ford accepted her career achievement award, couldn’t help but give his Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom costar shoutout before naming the nominees.

“First of all, I have to say, Harrison, congratulations! I’m so happy— I’m so happy I was in the room when you won the award,” he said.

The couple, who first starred together in 1984 Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doomthey have shared some cute moments together since Quan returned to the acting scene with Everything everywhere and at once.

In March, when Quan’s film won Best Picture at the 2023 Oscars Star Wars the actor hugged him when he came on stage. An excited Quan jumped up and down before appearing to kiss Ford happily on the cheek.

Following the pair’s embrace at the Oscars, a side-by-side image of their moment on stage and a film still of Ford hugging then-child Quan, who played Short Round in Temple of Doomit went viral on social networks.

Then, at the premiere of Ford’s film in Los Angeles Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in June, the couple posed for a fun photo together. The Everything everywhere and at once the actor wrapped both arms around Ford, who beamed as he put his arm around Quan’s shoulder on the red carpet.

Quan also crashed Ford’s interview with Extrahappily greeting the star as Ford jokingly said, “You’ve grown up!”

“I shouldn’t be proud of this guy,” Ford said when asked how he felt about Quan’s success. “He did this all by himself. It has nothing to do with me. I have a lot of love and admiration for this guy, but his pride is his own.”

“You make me very emotional Harrison. I love you so much,” Quan said during the conversation. “Of course, the reason I love acting so much is because of him, because I had such a wonderful, wonderful experience on Temple of Doom.”

Ford added Goonies star, “I’m so happy for him, I can’t tell you. He’s a beautiful person and an incredibly talented actor.”
