Keanu Reeves is off to the races!
The John Wick actor, 60, made his professional racing debut on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Associated Press reported. Reeves qualified 31st out of 35 cars for the Toyota GR Cup, a series held alongside the Indy 8 Hour race.
At one point, Reeves’ car spun out in Turn 9 (without causing a crash) early in the second half of the 45-minute race. unharmed, Speed the star was able to rejoin the race and continue, finishing 25th.
Reeves, who at one point in the race was as high as the 21st car, is scheduled to compete again on Sunday, October 6.
He was driving a red car no. 92 BRZRKR, which refers to his graphic novel Book elsewherewhich was published in July.

This was not the first time that Reeves got behind the wheel of a car racing competition. In 2009, he entered — and won — Toyota’s Long Beach Celebrity Race Grand Prix, the AP reported.
The actor is clearly a big fan of racing. In July he and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant attended the final day of the MotoGP Liqui Moly Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland in Germany.

He also attended the Formula 1 qualifying race for the British Grand Prix in July 2022. “It was wet but it was exciting,” he said of the event at the time, per Express.
“It was absolutely amazing to be so close. Silverstone and the rain, perfect,” he added. “I think being that close, just seeing the speed and the way they go in and out of the corners is amazing.”
