Keith Urban is a “very proud” father after watching his 16-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose, make her catwalk debut during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, October 1.
“I hope we can just help her keep a balance with everything through it all,” the “Somebody Like You” singer, 56, told PEOPLE on Thursday, Oct. 3 ahead of his Las Vegas residency.
Being the daughter of country music superstar and actress Nicole Kidman, 57, this could very well be the first of many runway endorsements. But Urban still wants to be protective of his daughter.
“I hope she’ll benefit from having two parents who know a certain amount of celebrity,” he says, believing it can be “a different challenge” for many parents when their children become famous at an early age.

Keith Urban recalls recording ‘Playgirl’ from early career: ‘Thankfully I play guitar, not accordion’
“It’s all a challenge. I mean, raising kids is a challenge, period. It’s about trying to maintain a balance,” says Urban. “It’s all a process, but I think balance is key. The key is to keep her firmly in the school responsibilities and structure and that everything is balanced in its place.”
For her catwalk debut as part of Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2025 show, Sunday Rose wore a sleeveless white dress with a ribbon-like detail on the neckline and a chain hem. The set was contrasted by black ankle boots and black shoes with open toes. The teenager’s long blonde hair was parted in the middle and tucked behind her ears, and she wore minimal make-up.
Others who walked the star-studded Miu Miu runway included Willem Dafoe, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne and Hilary Swank.

After her modeling debut, Sunday Rose spoke with Voguesaying she was “really stressed” ahead of the show. She added: “I’ve wanted to do this for so long and when the offer came it was really exciting. And now that day has finally come!”
While public display was new for Sunday Rose, it’s old for her father, who is scheduled to begin a 10-date limited engagement at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Friday. Called HIGH in Las Vegas, the show will feature much of Urban’s catalog, including new songs being performed for the first time.
“I feel really lucky, blessed and grateful to have songs that have stood the test of time and that I love passionately,” he said before a rehearsal at the BleauLive Theatre. “We’re doing ‘Somebody Like You.’ I love that song passionately. We’re doing a song called ‘Where the Blacktop Ends.’ It was on my first album. I’m passionate about that song… So I feel really grateful to have songs that were good and stood the test of time like that.”
