Keke Palmer Captures Special Moment 1-Year-Old Son Says ‘Mama’ Clearly for the First Time

Keke Palmer is a proud “mom!”

On Friday, Palmer shared a sweet moment with her 13-month-old son Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson via Instagram.

The 30-year-old actress held her son in her arms while doing her hair and makeup for the current production. Even though her makeup includes a “bloody” cut on her head, Leo continues to cuddle up to her.

“Why do you always have to be shy bro?” Palmer jokes with her son as he rests his head on her shoulder. “You’re not shy, bro!”

The two then stared at the camera for a few seconds before Palmer turned to her son and asked, “Does mom look good with blood on her face?”

Then Leo is heard saying “Mom” to Palmer off-screen. Quickly excited, Palmer dropped her mouth in astonishment.

The Not the actress then looked around the room for a split second and let out a long, “Oh!”

“I’m not crying YOU ARE 🥹🫶🏾🙏🏾,” she captioned the sweet video.

Fans and followers shared their delight in the comments. One user asked the proud mom if that was Leo’s first time saying “Mom,” and Palmer confirmed, “He says it so clearly yes!”

“Don’t ask me how many times I’ve watched this already 😭🥹🥹😍,” another user wrote. “Keke, this was wonderful. I love that you respond to your fans here. You have a fan for life. I love that baby,” another added.

Earlier this month, the Emmy winner shared with PEOPLE that she has a different outlook on life since becoming a mother.

The actress told PEOPLE that life has become a “juggling act” as she juggles motherhood and her demanding career.

“I feel like being 30 years old has put me in a different space that has allowed me to kind of look at my life more,” she said. “I’m not really into the weeds of everything. I really believe and trust that everything will be fine. I think a big part of that peace came from my son.”
