Kellan Lutz Installed ‘Problematic’ Christmas Decorations at Home, Says Wife: ‘Scared the Crap Out of Me’

Kellan Lutz’s wife, Brittany, is not a fan of the way her husband put up the Christmas decorations this year.

The Twilight The star’s wife took to her Instagram Story on Thursday to reveal the unusual way her husband had set up several large inflatable decorations outside their home.

“My husband turned the 8 foot inflatables (t-Rex, gingerbread man, and snowman) to face INSIDE the house because he wanted our daughter to be able to enjoy them,” she captioned the video on her Story. Brittany shares daughter Ashtyn, 2, and son Kasen, 1, with Kellan.

Brittany showed off her husband’s hilarious outfit in a video posted to her Instagram Story on Thursday.

In the clip, she zooms in on the illuminated faces of each figure peering through the windows of their home. She adds that although the gesture is “sweet”, in her eyes it is also not the most practical arrangement.

“It’s problematic for two reasons,” she says. “1. He didn’t inform me of that plan, and when I saw them, they scared me to death. And 2. Do you know how weird it looks from the street just to see the backs of these things looking at our house?”

In the next slide, the mom-of-two shares a look outside her home, revealing the backs of each inflatable character as they face the front lawn. She captioned the video with three crying and laughing emojis.

On Friday, Brittany unveiled another inflatable penguin that was placed in their yard after someone sent her a direct message that said, “Maybe get a little one or two for the yard so these guys can face forward.”

She replied, “If you know my husband, you know they’re in the yard too,” followed by more crying and laughing emojis.

Kellan also made sure to share his handiwork in an Instagram post on Friday. “I have company @brittanylynnlutz 😂,” he wrote next to a zoomed-in photo of the three ornaments.

Kellan and Brittany secretly tied the knot in November 2017 after the actor confirmed they were engaged during an appearance on Steve in October of that year. He told PEOPLE later in the month that Brittany had been his fiancée for over a year and they were “too cold” about the wedding.

The couple announced their wedding with separate posts on Instagram, and they welcomed their first child together, daughter Ashtyn, in 2021.
