Kelly Clarkson is suing ex-husband Brandon Blackstock months after a $2.6 million verdict

On March 15, four months after a California labor commissioner ruled that Clarkson’s ex-husband owed her $2.6 million in past commissions for overstepping his legal limits as her manager, she filed new documents claiming that he actually owes her many more.

The “Stronger” artist filed documents in Los Angeles alleging that Blackstock — who was Clarkson’s manager from 2017 to 2020, the same year she filed for divorce after seven years of marriage — has been violating state labor laws since 2007 ., when she entered into a verbal agreement with Starstruck Management, a company founded by his father Narvel Blackstock in 1988.

Since the previous ruling in November only covered 2017, Clarkson’s new documents, obtained by PEOPLE, seek “a full and complete accounting from Starstruck of all monies received by Starstruck, directly or indirectly, in connection with any and all contracts , employment or engagements that in any way relate to personal services [Clarkson]”, including commissions, fees, profits, advances and production fees.

Attorneys for Blackstock did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
