Some people believe that the third is seduction. However, this is not the case for Kelly McGillis. The Top Gun actress has been married three times, although her third marriage to Melanie Leis was the shortest. During their time together, McGillis and Leis had many ups and downs, leading many to assume they would stand the test of time. They are still as strong as expected.
In an interview with INTIX, Leis even praised her ex-husband as the love of her life. “I could never have imagined that I would say it so simply a few years ago, but now I say it with complete sincerity,” added Leis. However, after a year of marriage, the couple broke up in 2011.

McGillis and Leis met in 2000 at Kelly’s, a pub run by the actress and her husband, Fred Tillman. “I started working at the restaurant when Kell was out of town shooting a movie,” Leis said of the encounter. One day, I looked up and saw her there. I didn’t see her from across the room or anything.”
She went on to say that she didn’t know she was an actress, and when they started talking, she was struck by McGillis’ wicked sense of humor. Two girls go out one evening to celebrate their friend’s birthday. McGillis develops feelings for Leis as the two become close. They drink and do drugs together. For McGillis, alcohol and drugs help ease the pain of being raped as a student at Juilliard in 1982. She believes she is being punished for being gay. The couple realized they couldn’t go on living like this and eventually woke up McGillis’ two children. They moved to Mohnton, Pennsylvania, but life was not as simple as they expected. McGillis continued to work, but her relationship with Leisa affected the lives of her children.
