Kelly Rowland is back on the red carpet after leaving Today show set last week.
On Tuesday night, the Destiny’s Child singer (43) attended a screening of her new Netflix movie in Chicago. Mea Culpa wearing an electric blue jumpsuit and matching faux fur jacket.
Rowland teamed her eye-catching outfit with a pair of white earrings, wearing her bob cut in a sleek straight style. The musician posed with co-star Trevante Rhodes at the star-studded event held at the AMC River East Theater.

Kelly Rowland’s rep called the singer ‘one of the kindest’ people days after she left Today Set
Rowland’s appearance follows a backstage accident that led to her sudden departure from Today show on Thursday. Her departure resulted in Rita Ora joining Hoda Kotb as a guest co-host of the fourth hour at the last minute.
“Kelly left because she and her team didn’t like her wardrobe,” a source told PEOPLE. “Rita Ora agreed to stand in for her at the last minute. A lot of people at the show, inside and outside the show, were impressed with how great she was.”
Page six was the first to report the news, noting that Rowland was a guest on the 8 a.m. morning show and was then scheduled to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager as guest host alongside Kotb.

Today The show incident aside, Rowland has been busy promoting her new release, Mea Culpa. Directed by Tyler Perry, the film follows a criminal defense attorney who takes on the case of a seductive artist accused of murdering his girlfriend, but things soon take a dangerous turn as a burning desire seeps into him.
Mea Culpa premieres February 23 on Netflix.
