Kenan Thompson remembers the constant audition against another comedian for the same role in the 1990s. But in the end, both performers became the names of the household.
“Anthony Anderson, I would always see his name on the list”, Saturday night live Star recalled during the episode People in the 90s Podcast 2021: “Will see him on a real audition or not, he was always in running.”
He added, “We were in the same talk for characters, probably in many things during the 90s.”

Since then, the actors have admired each other’s career. IN All that Alumnus, 46, even shared his favorite Anderson project: Imprinted.
“I know what that movie did for his career,” Thompson said. “Before that, he was a guy Razors and the role of comic relief. But Imprinted was: ‘Oh s —, this type of ua [Martin] Scorsese movie. Then, very soon after that, Law and order. ”

“I love him to death, he’s my brother,” Thompson added.
Like Anderson, Thompson began to book roles in the 90s and early 2000s. His earliest acting credit included performances in Powerful ducks franchise, Nickelodeon’s sitcom Kenan and Kel And the movie Good burger. After completing his Nickelodeon career, Thompson moved to Los Angeles to start college.

“Nickelodeon just took a while because it was a cable, it was a smaller show,” Thompson recalled his “slow” glory. “I went to college and was blowing, no one watched Nickelodeon in college.”

The younger children recognized him, but not the people of his age. “I was a well -known wound if I went to Chuck E. Cheese. At the time she was young children, and the play was out and she was fresh,” he said.
2003 Thompson joined SNL and remains the longest -running role member. The painting of the place in the acting role is when “real glory began,” he said.

In June, people caught Thompson in Nintendo New York, where the star was considering some of his most famous roles and opened up about the items he took from the set.

For All that, “Our original Logotype T -shirts were very special,” Thompson said. “I think we got backpacks or something else that had a logo on it.”
“I must have got a few good hamburger hats, but they were mostly hats that would put on all the restaurant workers. So, I wore my specific hat. But it’s good to have things like that.”
