Kendra Wilkinson Opens Up About Treatment for Depression and Anxiety: ‘Back on My Feet’

Kendra Wilkinson shares an update on her mental health journey.

The 38-year-old real estate agent “recently finished treatment for my depression and anxiety,” she wrote alongside a selfie posted to Instagram on Friday.

“I am extremely happy to share this information because articles have been written about it,” ex Playboy the model continued. “I might as well give you a full update. Lol.”

“Being a solo act can be difficult at times and life can be challenging, but [I] I do my best and push with positive energy,” she added.

Wilkinson ended the post by saying that she is now “back on her feet.”

“I’m happily working in real estate, taking care of my babies and myself,” she wrote. “Great friends. My heart is full of gratitude!!! ☀️.”

The Kendra on top Alumina’s announcement comes two months after she was hospitalized following a panic attack.

In September, Wilkinson’s rep confirmed to PEOPLE that the former model was overwhelmed with balancing her real estate business, life and the two children she shares with ex-husband Hank Baskett, Hank IV, 13, and Alijah Marija, 9.

After being unable to sleep due to a panic attack, the reality star decided to go to a Los Angeles hospital for medical attention, a representative said. Baskett (41) was with her in the hospital.

In July, Kendra sells Hollywood star opened on PodcastOne Featured with Melissa Gorga about feeling “lost” following her 2019 divorce from Baskett, which came after her decade-long television stint ended.

During a podcast appearance, Wilkinson told podcast host i The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Melissa Gorga, whose divorce brought the couple to an end Kendra on topwhich lasted from 2012 to 2017, “triggered my depression”.

“I went through a divorce, lost everything I knew, and that was my TV show. I had a TV show every year until the divorce,” explained Gorgi at the time. “Then my divorce happened and suddenly, now I’m out of a marriage, I’m out of a show, I had to move into a small house – I didn’t understand what was going on and all of a sudden I had to do some intensive treatment.”

Wilkinson added during the podcast, “I didn’t have fame for years. I didn’t have everything I knew for a very long time. I didn’t know who I was. I was so lost.”

During a conversation with Gorga, Wilkinson said that the apparent end of her TV career in 2017 — which would have marked a four-year period without Wilkinson hosting her own show — made it “impossible to be happy at that moment,” she said, adding that “ she didn’t even know how to be happy”.

“My children are what gave me purpose,” she explained.

The former model said Hank IV and Alijah encouraged her to “stay alive, to keep going, to drive them to hockey and basketball and smile and watch them do everything.”

“They’re the ones that make my heart beat,” she said.

Wilkinson told Gorga that after “some serious healing” she decided to pursue a new career in real estate. In 2021, she returned to TV with her real estate series, Kendra Sells Hollywood, which recently completed its second season.

“I had to realize that and believe in something again, believe in life,” Wilkinson told Gorga in June.
