Kerry Earnhardt, also known as Kerry Earnhardt, is a former NASCAR driver and the oldest son of seven-time Winston Cup Series champion Dale Earnhardt. He is also the half-brother of Dale Earnhardt Jr., a previous Cup Series driver. He was also employed as a consultant at Dale Earnhardt Inc., where he specialized in driver development and worked until 2011. Jeffrey Earnhardt, his younger son, began racing for DEI in 2007 and currently competes in the NASCAR Cup Series. He is known for his physical resemblance to his father, Dale.

Biography of Kerry Earnhardt
Kerry Earnhardt’s mother was Dale Earnhardt’s first wife, and Dale was only 18 years old and a local racer in North Carolina when Kerry was born. Kerry was only one year old when the couple divorced. Dale’s first wife, Latane, was then married to Jack Key, who also took the surname Kerry and used his stepfather’s surname for most of his life. Dale was unknown to him until the age of 16.
Kerry dropped out of high school and worked various jobs to support his family before embarking on a racing career. He worked at Pizza Hut before moving to Cannon Mills in Kannapolis, North Carolina, where his grandfather, Ralph Earnhardt, worked.

Career
Kerry also raced stock cars in the early 1990s before entering the racing world as a street stock competitor in 1992. Kerry raced in the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series that same season, and in 1993 he raced at various tracks. These include East Carolina Motor Speedway in Robersonville, North Carolina, as well as Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia.
Kerry made his Winston Cup debut for Marcis Auto Racing in Michigan in 2000, competing against his father Dale Earnhardt and his other half-brother, Dale Earnhardt Jr. He crashed out of the race in the fifth lap, and his father died at Daytona in 2001.
Kerry also drove the No. 33 car for Richard Childress Racing in six Nextel Cup races. Finally, in 2007, he announced his retirement from competitive racing.

As for his personal life, Kerry married Rene in 1999, and the couple has a daughter, Kayla.
