Khaleel Ahmed was born on December 5, 1997 in Tonk, Rajasthan, India, to a Muslim family (age 21; as of 2018) as Khaleel Khur Khaleel Khursheed Ahmed. As a child, he used to play tennis, but later, he practiced cricket. He dreams of playing for the Indian cricket team one day. Initially, Karrell’s parents opposed his decision to play cricket. They wanted him to become a doctor. His father used to beat him for playing cricket.

At the age of 12, he joined Tonk’s cricket academy without informing his parents. In his early cricket career, he imitated the moves of Zaheer Khan and Irrfan Pathan.

While he was playing in the cricket academy, his coach Imtiyaz Khan sent him to the Rajasthan Cricket Academy in Jaipur where he joined the Rajasthan Under-14 camp. While playing for the Rajasthan U-14 team, he took 26 wickets in just 4 games. Due to his outstanding performance, he was selected for the BCCI Professional Academy Cricket Academy in Mohali, Punjab. In 2015, he played for the India U-19 team and took 13 wickets in 5 games, earning him a spot in the 2016 U-19 Cricket World Cup squad. In 2017, he made his debut for “Rajasthan” in a Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir in Jaipur. In September 2018, he took 3 wickets in the Indian cricket team’s first match against Hong Kong. On September 18, 2018, he made his ODI debut in the Asian Cup match against Hong Kong, China in Dubai.
Salary/Net Worth
In 2016, he was selected by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 10 lakh. Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs 3 crore in the 2018 IPL auction.
