  • Khalen Saunders says he and his brother Kameron are “getting better” about their sports
  • The Saints defensive tackle remembers watching So you think you can dance with his brother as kids
  • Kameron and Khalen have teamed up with Movember to promote awareness of men’s mental health

Khalen and Kameron Saunders were destined for careers as professional athletes — and now the talented brothers are even playing sports with each other!

Khalen, 28, tells PEOPLE exclusively that his brother Kameron, 32 — who is best known as Taylor Swift’s favorite backup dancer on the Eras Tour — is getting “better and better” at spreading his soccer knowledge.

“Obviously he’s been watching me for a long time,” says the New Orleans Saints defensive end, who won two Super Bowls with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce before leaving the Kansas City Chiefs.

“So he’s like, who’s that? Did he just get fired? A touchdown?” Khalen says of Kameron, recalling how the talented brothers and their grandmother switched off between watching football games and So you think you can dance on Fox.

“He used to teach … he’d say, ‘Oh, that was a pirouette,’ and tell us whatever they were doing in class.”

“So when we get together now, it’s like our safe place,” he says. “We turn on the game and my brother asks me a thousand questions – and he gets better.” says Khalen, who has teamed up with his brother and Movember to promote awareness of men’s mental health.

Taylor Swift dancer Kam Saunders jokes about Brother’s big game: ‘I hope that game doesn’t hurt too much Trav!’

And now that Kameron is tearing it down with Swift in sold-out stadiums around the world, Khalen is learning some of the iconic choreography from the tour. “Yeah, yeah, I know when they do spins, it’s not just a spin,” Khalen says with a laugh.

“Now I know what a pirouette is and I know – because I was painting – he made me do something where you throw your leg back and extend your arm. But yes, now I know some terms.”

Khalen even showed off his dance moves on Instagram — earning a like from Kelce — when Kameron taught him the routine to “Karma” during the New Orleans leg of the tour.

The Saunders brothers have little time between their busy schedules, but Khalen says he and Kameron felt it was important to dedicate their time to partnering with Movember to promote mental health awareness.

“It’s always good to try to uplift people, to help future generations with the tools they can have to be physically and mentally healthier,” Khalen says. “I’m happy that I got the opportunity to share what Movember is all about and to do it with my brother. It was a no-brainer for me.”

To encourage fans to check out the move on Movember.com, the brothers shared a fun video of Kameron teaching Khalen a new victory dance for game days.

When Khalen and their mom came to the New Orleans stop of the Eras Tour earlier this month, Kameron paid tribute to his brother by recreating Khalen’s celebration dance.

“Last night my favorite boy in the universe came to the show!!! Him and my mom too,” Kameron wrote in an Instagram post. “I blew them a kiss and did his celebratory dance out of my sack against the Chargers. Lol. I love you always in ALL ways! THANK YOU for loving me back! 🥹 (And yes, that’s him laughing on the audio and my mom screams 😂).”
