Kim Kardashian Reveals ‘Critical’ Daughter North Once Gave ‘Notes’ to Designer John Galliano During a Fitting

In the latest episode The Kardashians, North was shown candidly criticizing Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala dress. At a fitting with Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry ahead of the 2023 event, North, 10, didn’t hesitate to give notes.

“I like pearls, I just don’t like how they look like they’re from the dollar store,” North said.

According to Kardashian (43), this was not the first time she shared her shameless criticism.

“North can be critical,” Kardashian explained in the confidential. “John Galliano made my dress and North gave me notes. This is just her vibe.”

(Galliano is currently the creative director of Maison Margiela, but currently heads Givenchy and Dior.)

North brought that same energy to the Roseberry montage. As Kardashian tried on the Met look — which consisted of more than 50,000 pearls and took 1,000 hours to create — she asked North for notes. The daughter did not hold back.

First, North criticized the gaps in the pearls, saying her dress looked ripped. Kardashian’s daughter added that she thought the pearls looked “fake.”

“Like I’m a bum,” Roseberry said. “The night before the Met, a barbecue by a 9-year-old.”

Later, at the second dress fitting, North asked her mom if the dress would give her a “wedgie,” saying it looked like a “moon.” Kardashian said she’s trying to teach North how to be honest without being offensive.

“There is a way to be honest and not hurt people’s feelings, and I want you to learn that,” Kardashian told her daughter.

Despite North’s scathing criticism, Kardashian insisted she is the “cutest ever.”

North offered her fashion review while hitting the Met Gala red carpet later in the episode. North and her cousin Penelope Disick, 11, found Jared Leto’s Choupette costume “cringe” and Pete Davidson’s look “gas station” appropriate.

All North wants to do is judge people’s outfits, and she loves to criticize, Kardashian said. “North is like the new Joan Rivers, if you ask me. And you can’t take it seriously, to be fried by a ten-year-old, so I never do. But it stings a little.”

Kardashian shares West with her ex-husband Kanye West, 46, along with their other children – Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4.
