Kim Seon-Ho Apologizes To All Of His Fans For Touching The Void

On July 20, almost a year after being embroiled in a scandal, Kim Seon-ho, the star of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, once again apologized to fans, this time in person. At the press launch of his play Touching the Void, the actor apologized to his fans in a sincere and sensitive way. He began his apology by explaining why he thought it was right:

“I felt it was the appropriate thing to do, so I went out first. Being afraid, I expected to speak incoherently, so I jotted this down. With open hearts, I hope you will understand.”

The press conference is also his first official public appearance since his release. In October 2021, shortly after the season finale of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, an unidentified netizen claiming to be the actor’s ex-partner posted on a Korean internet forum to accuse Kim Seon-ho of forcing her to have an abortion. The long-running debate was finally ended when the Korean news agency Dispatch refuted some of the former claims. Despite the positive conclusion, the Start-Up actor decided to retire from public life, saying goodbye to various projects, much to the chagrin of his fans. He only recently started accepting new projects, and the latest is the show Touching the Void.

“I really apologize for bringing this up at the press conference. From spring to summer, many individuals worked tirelessly to bring this production to life. I feel like I’ve been a distraction, so please accept my sincere apologies to the team and everyone.”

I’m so saddened by Kim Seonho crying on a press call while apologizing for his NOT GUILTY controversy. I hope he reaches new heights with his new projects and it acts as a slap in the face to his toxic ex. I’m always rooting for him 🥺

“I am truly sorry to inform so many people of the terrible news. Looking back, I thought a lot about my flaws. All I can say is that I will work hard to improve as an actor and as a person. Excuse me.”

Fans praised Seon-fortitude ho in a difficult position and showered him with love and support in response to his apology. This is not the first time the actor has apologized for everything that happened. On May 7, Kim Seon-ho posted his first Instagram post since October 2021. The actor will next be seen on stage in the drama Touching the Void, not on television. Based on the book of the same name by climber Joe Simpson from 1988, playwright David Greig turned the story into a British drama. In the Korean adaptation, Kim Seon-ho will play Joe Simpson, a climber who is stuck on a snowy mountain after a tragic accident. The play will be played in cinemas from July 8 to September 18.
