Kiran Gosavi disappeared after October 2, 2021, despite being a key witness in the case. As suspicion arose among the leadership and the police, a background check was conducted on the private detective, who discovered that Gosavi had four previous FIRs accusing him of stealing money from people through employment company fraud. In the FIR, he was accused of stealing lakhs of rupees from people and a person named Chinmay Deshmukh lodged a complaint against him in 2018, accusing him of stealing 1 lakh rupees. He gave him 309,000 rupees and Ghosavi assured him that he would find him a job in Malaysia. He also provided Deshmukh with a fake visa and a fake ticket and then he disappeared from the radar.
When contacted by NDTV reporters on October 25, 2021, Ghosavi told reporters that he planned to surrender to the Lucknow police as he felt unsafe in Maharashtra. The reporter further asked him about the FIR and Rs. Aryan Khan was asked to get bail of Rs 25 crore. In this regard, Gosavi said-
